This is the work of Michael Edward Rippie the man who impersonates me
on newsgroups and sometimes uses the names Dannan DeCrete and Fartin
Millett.

He has claimed to

1 ] Have been visited by Jesus in bodily form when he was six.

2 ] Have written this poem

The Bell

A bell is not a bell until you ring it.
A song is not a song until you sing it.
Love in your heart wasn't put there to stay.
Love isn't love until you give it away.

in 1961 (claimed in 1997, 2001, 2002 and probably other times too)
He claims to have copyrighted this poem in 1962.

However

Love isn't love... 'Til you give it away

was part of the score (Sixteen Going On Seventeen - Reprise) for The
Sound of Music, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II (although not used in
the movie) which was first performed in October 1959, when Mr Rippie
was about 13.

3 ] To have visited me spiritually several times, and administered a
psychic slap.

4 ] To live in the Mind of Christ.

5 ] To stop VW camper vans on request. (I never did understand that
story)

6 ] To have a million hits per day on his website.


Michael Edward Rippie discredits any cause (Christianity, Gnosticism,
spirituality, paganism, synthetic oil) that he is associated with.
